Meet Your Teacher
Brynnly Peterlin
My love for singing began at a young age when I fell in love with musical theatre. I grew up performing in musicals and vocal ensembles, and by high school, I was already teaching voice lessons. While I had years of training, I often found myself questioning many of the common phrases used to give feedback to singers. I wanted to understand why certain techniques worked—and how to help others improve their voices in a healthy, sustainable way.
After graduating from university, I pursued additional training through Berklee College of Music Online, where I studied vocal technique across various styles, as well as recording and music video production. I then completed a course in Somatic Voicework™ (The LoVetri Method), which deepened my understanding of functional voice training and ignited a new passion for vocal health and voice science.
This led me to pursue a Master of Science in Medical Speech-Language Pathology, which I earned from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2024. During my clinical training, I had the opportunity to work at a local ENT clinic, where I provided voice therapy and worked directly with professional voice users. I also conducted rigid laryngoscopy. That experience solidified my belief that voice teaching should be grounded in both science and artistry.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to work extensively in children’s theatre, where I’ve taught and mentored young performers in both group and private settings. I’ve taught with Egyptian YouTheatre and One Voice Children’s Choir, and I’ve directed, choreographed, and music directed youth productions at Midvale Main Street Theatre and Churchill Junior High. These experiences helped shape my passion for working with kids and teens, and gave me a deep appreciation for the importance of fostering confidence, creativity, and joy in every young performer.
Today, I approach voice instruction with a holistic lens—blending technical skill, creative expression, and evidence-based knowledge of the vocal mechanism. Whether I’m working with young beginners or advanced singers refining their craft, I aim to create a supportive, informed environment where voices can thrive.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our dog, and our baby girl. I also founded a princess company that partners with nonprofits to bring joy to children and families in need through magical character visits.
